ABOUT US

A quiet corner of the Ryburn valley

Riverside sits in a pretty, peaceful valley alongside the River Ryburn, tucked away from the main road in a clearing in the woods. It's a small site: four glamping pods on the bank and super pitches for caravans, motorhomes and campervans, with brand new shower and toilet facilities close by.
Walk straight out of the site into the woodland, which is perfect with the dog, or head further out to the moors, the Pennine Way, Hardcastle Crags and Dovestones. Ripponden village, with its pubs and takeaways, is five minutes on foot. We're ten minutes from the M62, right between Leeds and Manchester.

Brand new and cleaned regularly: two unisex bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower, plus a washing-up area, drinking water, waste and recycling, a fresh water and motorhome service point, and a toilet disposal point behind the toilet block.

16 amp electric hook-up, your own water point, a drain for waste water, and parking.

Dogs welcome

Please keep dogs on a lead and under control at all times, and clean up after them.

Quiet hours 10pm to 8am

Please respect other guests and keep noise to a minimum.

Campfires and BBQs

In the fire pits and designated areas only. Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure it is fully out before you leave.

Just 30 seconds down the road, with tennis courts and a crown green bowling green a short stroll down the lane.

What's nearby

Pubs, walks and days out — the village is five minutes on foot, and the Calder Valley is on the doorstep.

Ripponden grew up where the old packhorse routes from Elland and Halifax met and crossed into Lancashire. The river was first crossed by a ford, then a timber bridge, a stone bridge in 1533 and the bridge you see today, built in the mid-1700s. It is a very dog-friendly village with fantastic walking and cycling routes, and the Tour de France came through in 2014.

Everything you need before you arrive

Please don’t follow the postcode on your sat nav, and don’t go down Spinners Hollow. Come in by Mill Fold Way, off Elland Road.

Check-in: 2pm to 8pm.

Yes, there’s free Wi-Fi on site.

Bring everything you’d usually take camping, including sleeping bags and bedding, which we don’t provide. Each pod has heating, camp beds, a picnic bench and a fire pit.

Dogs are very welcome. Please keep them under control and on a lead at all times, and clean up after them. There’s a woodland walk straight from the site, and the village pubs are dog friendly.

  • Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. Please respect other guests and keep noise to a minimum.

  • 5mph on site, and park in your allocated space.

  • BBQs and fires in the fire pits and designated areas only. Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure it’s fully out before you leave. No fireworks.

  • Rubbish, recycling and waste water at the marked points, please.

  • Leave your pod or pitch as you found it.

There’s a launderette about five minutes’ walk away in the village.
